Considering the business needs and to tap maximum motor business, now it has been decided to allow the issuance of Miscellaneous ‘D' Policy in CWISS as well as in all Portals subject to the condition that the quote for the proposal should be approved by OIC only (in case of dealer portal, LSO In-charge only). Only during the period of long leave of absence of OIC, OIC may authorize (if required), another official for approval process. This delegated authority should be withdrawn by OIC, once he resumes duty. Procedure to Underwrite Miscellaneous ‘D’ Policy 1. Any employee from any NIA office or any intermediary using NIA portals (Agents, Brokers, MisP, Dealer, POSP etc.) can create quotes of Miscellaneous ‘D’ vehicle 2. However, such quotes can only be approved in core by employees (OIC or concerned delegated official) configured for that particular office, 3. Email & SMS will be triggered to the official concerned for approval of quotation. 4. All the above-mentioned procedure will be applicable for renewal as well as roll over cases also, 5.
