Based on the analysis above, we can see that each of the online storage has its own strengths

and
weaknesses.
1. iCloud
Initially, learners can see that one of the biggest barriers of iCloud is the users’ object. The
reason for this problem is because the iCloud service is only famous with devices that run IOS as
the operating system. Moreover, the file-sharing process is not user – friendly, especially
between the iCloud user and the user who does not use iCloud. (Robert Miller, 2018).
Furthermore, slow transfer files is another limitation of the systems, too. (Bogdana Zujic, 2015)
To solve all of those problems, and upgrade the system, Apple should take into consideration
how to make it more convenient. Apple should establish a new feature that allows the user to
upload large files and share documents easier. The idea for this feature is compressing the files
so that it can be uploaded faster. Besides, to create a convenient sharing environment, iCloud
should have a tool that lets the iCloud user and who does not use it share the documents and file
easily. One of the recommendations for this suggestion is iCloud can let the user share the files
through Bluetooth. By connecting Bluetooth and combine two or more devices that can help the
users share the file to as many people as they want in a short period.
Besides, that Apple should have more preferential packs for students. For example, instead of
charging every month with almost $1 for 20GB, students can buy a preferential pack to expand
the storage for 12 GB every year at a reasonable price which is suitable for everyone. To increase
the reaching rates of users, iCloud should create. Also, iCloud should run more advertisements
on social media and have more trial versions for users.
Dropbox
The second online storage of this research is Dropbox. Unlike iCloud, Dropbox is more famous
with the students. The two disadvantages that Dropbox has are the storage limitations and the
security. To deal with the storage limitations, Dropbox can establish the new extended version.
Furthermore, Dropbox can charge a small amount of money for the user who really needs a
bigger storage. Besides that, Dropbox is really fast and useful in saving the files
The second limit of Dropbox is security. Like we mentioned above, Dropbox can only manage
permissions on a folder basis, while other online storage can manage permissions on a file-by-
file basis. Scanning the files by folder can cause some holes in the scanning process. Moreover,
if we scan the folder you just only can scan on the outside. So, the virus can go inside and spoil
your file easily. The solution to protecting your data and files is that Dropbox should have the
limitations for the folder and establish the feature that can allow the tool to scan the file carefully
before save it. As well as, the developers of Dropbox should allow the perform encryption before
uploading files on the storage. (Dominic Acito, 2016)
Google Drive
Last but not least, Google Drive is popular online storage not because of its 15GB free storage
but also for its convenience for students and office workers. (Lee Hoong, 2019) However,
Google Drive has some serious problems such as hackers can hack and remove your data.
Moreover, the uploading speed is still slow and takes time. To minimize all these limitations,
what Google can do are to create a doubled - layer security and establish new features like a
password to access private files or important data. Also, compressing files into the minimum
storage and ameliorate the speed.
