Here is how I created this Weebly site.

I have been a long time Weebly user because it so user friendly, free, and offers password
protected sites.  To begin with I went to the weebly.com site and created an account using
my email.  You will also need to create a password so that you can log back into your site.
Once you are logged in you will begin creating.  Weebly offers many themes to choose from
whether you need a site for business, education, school, or home.  You also have the ability
to customize to meet your specific needs as I chose to do.  I created my banner using
Powerpoint and saved it as a .png so that I could upload to my banner.  After
choosing/creating your theme, you will then be asked to create a website address. I chose to
connect mine to science club.  You can change this at any time.

Next is the fun part.  Elements.  Weebly provides an element frame that is an easy drag and
drop feature. There are basic features, structure, media options, commerce, and more.   You
can also install apps to provide greater flexibility.  Some features are not free and are
labeled with a lightening bolt.

For my website I create 5 headings: Home, Graphics, Multimedia, Print, and About Me. To
add additional pages, you will click "Pages" at the top menu and then add and label. You
can also drag and drop which order you would like your pages, if you prefer subpages,
visibility (you can hide pages if you are not ready to publish them), and password
protection.  This feature is useful if you need only certain users to have access.  For
example, if I were to post photos of students in club but do not wish for the photos to be
accessible to the world wide web - I would password protect the page and share the
password only with the families in the club.

Next, I added an image placeholder by dragging it from the element frame.  You can resize
the photo and drag it around to create columns if you prefer (you can see this above). If you
click on the image, you can add captions, a link, a lightbox, or other editing options.   You
can also add background images.  Weebly allows you to download images from your
computer or other websites. I added a Bitmoji as a nod to the fact this site is created for my
master's program. I also linked my Bitmoji to the WGU MedLT program site. Next, I added
a text box, again dragging from the element frame.  Once you have typed your text, you can
edit as usual with color, size, font, alignment, etc.  You can also embed links to your text.

The last step is publishing.  When you are ready you will click the blue publish button and it
will give you a preview link.  Don't worry, you can unpublish at any time. If you wish to
make changes, just click publish again when you are ready.  Weebly takes all the guess
work away so that you can create a professional looking site to share.
