which in turn sends the sensation through chemical
pain receptors.
 Sensation sent by pain receptor increases the local
circulation to neutralize the toxins at local site.
 Skin being semi-permeable to zinc, zinc present in the
form of zinc oxide is easily absorbed which has
antifungal property.
 Electrical Effect
 Earth has got its electricity which is always active when
mud packs are applied on the body, its electricity
makes the part moving and this movement enables the
affected part to be active and this activity may
increases the circulation in this part.
 The circulation removes the toxins, dust and waste.

Introduction regarding different type of
soil references in Ayurvedaliterature
Krishna Mrittika
 Practically different Mrittika was used in different
patients but it was found that Krishna Mrittika can be
used more because of following reasons.
 •Clayey texture therefore easy to make Mrittika patti
and easy to apply on patients.
 •Highly retentive of moisture, extremely compact and
tenacious when wet.
 •High water retaining capacity.
 •This soil has high absorption property because of its
black color.
 •For some extent it is also reusable.
 •Cracks not produced in this Mrittika as it is formed in
other Mrittika patti

blood and lymph circulation creates a demand for an
increased supply of nutriment… which nature
manifests by an improvement in appetite

 Abdominal massage, through its reflex influence upon
the glands and circulation of the stomach and
intestines…. Promotes production of digestive fluids
Effect of Massage upon Digestion
