syngo.via View&GO
This document guides you through the Cardiac workflow of syngo.via View&GO. In 9 easy steps,
you will learn to visualize and evaluate coronary arteries.
Please note: The following workflow describes one possible way out of various to perform it.
Step 1
1. Select the CT Cardiac patient data in the Patient Browser.
2. Select Open to view the data.
Step 2
1. Select the segment, that contains the cardiac series of interest and right-click on it with
the mouse.
2. Select Show in 3D from the context menu. You can also select Show in 3D from the Tool
Gallery or Favorite Tools.
Step 3
1. From the Tool Gallery or Favorite Tools, select Isolate Heart and Coronary Tree. This set-
ting provides an isolated view of the heart from the surrounding tissue and structures.
Furthermore, it visualizes the isolated coronary arteries.
2. To only view the coronary tree, select Coronary Tree (1) and deselect Isolate Heart (2).
Step 4
1. If the segmentation is suboptimal, you can select the Anatomy Visualizer from the upper
left in-segment corner menu to perform any further optimization of the segmentation
view.
2. Close the Anatomy Visualizer.
Step 5
Select Define Vessels from the Tool Gallery to define and isolate a coronary artery.
Please note: You can also always perform Vessel Definition in the MPR segments.
Step 6
1. Ensure that the New Vessel functionality is activated in the mini toolbar.
2. Choose two or more points to define a vessel (LAD in our case below).
3. Double-click the last point to finish vessel definition.
Step 7
Once the vessel is defined, the layout automatically changes to a Vessel Layout Mode.
1. If necessary, edit defined vessels by using the mini toolbar in the CPR segment.
2. Click Close Editing before proceeding to the next step.

Step 8
The mini toolbar changes.
1. You can now perform Measure Length and Measure Diameter of the vessel.
2. Use the Create Finding button to document the length or diameter of findings.
Measure Length:

Step 9
In order to document results, you can create:
1. Vascular Ranges (radial in our example) and
2. Snapshots.
3. Their results get documented in the Series panel.
Please note: You can create ranges by using the mini toolbar in the CPR segment, the upper left
in-segment corner menu, the Tool Gallery or by using the Favorite Tools.
Please note: For documentation purposes, you can create Snapshots at any time while perform-
ing the relevant workflow steps.
