Covid-19 pandemic is an unprecedented and unforeseeable challenge to all countries.

Commence from Covid-19 outbreak, our government enacted Movement Control Order (MCO) to our
country to control the spread of the epidemic. In this challenging time, all of the business is affected
especially for small-medium enterprises which have limited economic resources such as limited
labour, limited capital goods or limited investment goods. The small-medium enterprises (SMEs) are
struggling and striving to resuscitate their economy by following the standard operating procedure
(SOP) that indicated by our government to adapt with this new norm.

From this challenging time, I have learnt that employers should make sure the liquidity of
their cash flow to escape from the Covid-19 evil. This is because most of the employers faced scarce
of total revenue from their business to pay any fixed or variable cost. So, the crew are under vast
financial pressure due to the loss in their business. So, we can apply further steps such as apply
electricity discounts from government, negotiate rental rebates for their premise with their owners or
change the full-time labour into part time if necessary. Thus, this can help us have fluidity of cash
flow to buy products from suppliers which can maintain the supply from us to consumers and afford
the consumption in our business.

Next, I also learnt that we need to be ready in changing the way of our business from physical
store to online shop. Within the standard operating procedure (SOP), individuals are required to stay
at home to prevent overspread of the pandemic. So, public are more willing to buy their essential
things through online. This brings profit to online store so as an employer, we can do online business
through social medias’ live such as Instagram or Facebook to attract our consumers. It can raise the
generate sales besides practice occupational health and safety (OHS) in our business. We can also
competitive by lower price and high-quality products with others competitors through online
promotions.
