Lewin’s Change Management model

Change management concepts provide the important main strategy in the today’s business
environment. But change management is based on the nature of business with the change of people.
The key point of change management is how much they understand the process of change and the after
effect of the changing. In the Kurt Lewin (1940s), he commented organization change with the shape of
a block of ice. In this process, firstly melt the ice to make it amenable to change (unfreeze). Then, mold
the iced water into the shape want (change). Finally solidify the new shape (refreeze).

That’s why, make the change management, we must know the effectiveness of the change, what
become and what plan should provide. Sometimes people take risk and make the blindly change, the
possible outcomes result are badly and become unexpected and unnecessary cases. To begin the start
with the successful change process, firstly we should know why need to change and want it to
understand. Before the change process, we achieve the aids by generating the motivation that concern
with someone or recheck someone’s idea.

There are three main stage of change process-

Unfreeze In this stage, to accept the change of the organization have prepared involve and break
down existing things before start the new operation. The key existing way can’t continue by easily status
such as point of dealing figures, poor financial results, worrying customer satisfaction surveys or other.
These ways will show why need to plan the change process to understand by others. When the
organization prepares to be successful, the change will be start with core. Firstly, need to challenge
beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviors. Organization need to check the existing foundation to the same
point on both situations and prepare to change. The existing is not support to increase until it had been
started. The first steps of change process are mostly difficult and stressful.

Change After the new change are situated in unfreeze the new change will be emerge the
people to change the uncertainly and look for news ways directions and related the new change .the
related change model is curve and the possible ways of existing ways are situated in the personal
transitions. This stage will show the people who are unsure and even fearful and looking down the learn
least when the time are as people are learning about the changes and need to be given time to
understand the successful situation and keep communication a clear pictures of the desire change and
the benefits to people so they don’t lose sight of where are heading.
