STANDARD RECIPE

Recipe name: Chocolate Brownies

Yield: 3 portions

INGREDIENTS PREP PROCEDURE QUANTITY UNIT

*Melt the butter* 31.25 g


Butter
16.25 ml
Cocoa Powder
Granulated Sugar 40 g

Whole eggs Beat eggs before adding to mixture* 2 each

Vanilla essence 1.25 ml

Cake flour 31.25 ml

Baking Powder 0.63 ml

OUTCOMES
1. Moist texture
2. The brownies must be cooked through.
3. They must have a strong chocolate flavour
4. The brownies must be well prepared to ensure that fluffy springy freshness.

METHOD
1. Oven must be pre heated to 180 degrees celcius. Place baking paper into a baking tin.
2. In a large sauce pan, melt the Butter.
3. Pour the cocoa powder in, remove the sauce pan from the heat and stir it in. Add the granulated
sugar and stir well.
4. Crack the 2 whole eggs into a bowl and beat. Pour into sauce pan along with Vanilla essence.
5. Sift the Flour and Baking powder into the chocolate mixture and fold it in well to combine.
6. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
