Objective of our English Project

Learning English will give us access to the most current and complete information, we will know
the latest advances and we will be able to access the majority of scientific, academic and
technological texts, written in this language.

We decided to interview the engineer David Lemor because he is currently one of the most
significant representatives of our profession in Peru, as an industrial engineer he knows closely
the advantages and opportunities that this profession offers us in the current situation to
efficiently contribute to the reactivation economy of our country.

David Lemor
Good night everybody, today we have with us to David Lemor, He is a peruvian industrial
engineer,He was born in Lima in 1952, and He studied industrial engineering in the north Caroline
State University, graduating with honors, "Cum Laude", also Mr. Lemor was Minister of
production of Peru between the years 2005 to 2006 during the goverment to Alejandro Toledo,
Actualy he is director from the national society of industries (SIN).
Tonight we’ll talk about the econcomy reactivation in this pandemic. For this interview we have a
Julio Ochoa like a interviewer.

 Interviewer: Good night Mr. Lemor How are you?


 Mr. Lemor; Good nigth Julio, I am fine.
 Interviewer: ok. I am glad to heard that. I would begin this interview asking you, What do
you think about the Industrial engineering?
 Mr. Lemor: Well, Within the universe of engineering, there is the phrase: "Industrial
Engineering is in everything." This responds to the fact that this branch of engineering is
multidisciplinary and specializes in knowledge of important functions for the growth of a
company, such as production, administration, finance and economics.
which translates into industrial engineering being the set of opportunities that seek to
optimize the use of human, technical, informational resources and the optimal
management control of the transformation systems of the goods and services of a
company.
 Interviewer: Then we can say that the objective of industrial engineering is to obtain high
quality products and services, reducing costs, time and materials, simplifying the
manufacture of a piece among other things.
 Mr Lemor: Exactly.
 Interviewer: Ok. Let’s talk about current news, from your point of view and taking into
account the global pandemic situation, how do you think it would be possible in our
country to reactivate the economy?
 Mr. Lemor: I firmly believe that the industry plays an important role in the generation of
formal and productive employment, this is key to the economic recovery of our country.
 Interviewer: Ok. Finally, why would you advise the Peruvian youth to choose industrial
engineering as a profession?
 Mr. Lemor: Industrial Engineering is one of the branches of Engineering that aims to
provide growth in companies, reducing costs. At the same time it seeks to create more
jobs, take care of the environment and generate better working conditions. In this way, a
professional in this area will be able to collaborate with the development of the country.
