NATIONALS HISTORY
July 11 (3-4)
2009 - Josh Willingham homered twice and the Nationals thumped the Astros, 13-2, at Minute Maid Park.
The win, however, would be the last for Manny Acta as Nationals manager, as he would be relieved of his
managerial duties the next day. But, perhaps as a parting gift to Acta, the Nationals registered 21 hits at
Houston’s expense, and by doing so, eclipse the 20-hit plateau for the first time since the club landed in
D.C. in 2005.
