I. OBJECTIVES:

A. Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding the use and maintenance of equipment in cookery.
B. Performance Standard
The learners independently use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials in cookery
according to standard operating procedures.

C. Learning Competencies TLE_HECK7/8UT-0a-1


LO 1. Utilize appropriate kitchen tools, equipment, and paraphernalia.
1.1 Identify types of tools, equipment and paraphernalia.
1.2 Classify the types of appropriate cleaning tools and equipment based on their uses.
1.3 Describe the various types of kitchen tools, equipment, and paraphernalia.

D. Specific Objectives:
At the end of the lesson 95% of the students are expected to:
1. identify the different types kitchen tools and equipment;
2. differentiate the appropriate uses of different types of kitchen tools and equipment; and
3. appreciate the importance of being aware on the kitchen tools and equipment.

Good afternoon once again class!

d. Checking of Attendance
Now let us check your attendance.
According to your seat plan, you occupy all the
seats it means you are all present today. Very Good
attendance class!
e. Recapitulation
Since this will be our first meeting for your 4 th
Quarter. We don’t have any topic to be recapitulate.

B. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES/ MOTIVATION

Since you are interested to learn new things, I’ve

Did you know class that Kitchen is the main heart of
our home? So therefore let’s value our kitchen tools
and equipment because it’s very much useful and
important when we are cooking and preparing foods
class.

Okay let us divide the class into two groups,
This is group 1, and this is group 2. You can form a
circle.

So here is the instruction, please listen.


I have here an images of different kitchen tools and
equipment class, and you need to do is to identify
if what types of kitchen tools and equipment the
images are, if it belongs to Measuring Tools,
Cookware/Cooking Materials, Kitchen Tools and
Kitchen Equipment.

You only have 2 minutes to prepare and 2 minutes


to present, and then please choose one
representative from each group to present your
work.

So if none you may now start working.

So as a cookery student’s class, it is very much
important for you to be aware on the different types

I have here pieces of strip papers class, then each
group will pick 5 pieces of strip papers and you will
tell the appropriate uses and what types does each
kitchen tools and equipment you’ve picked.

I will give you 2 mins to prepare and another 2
minutes for your presentation.
(Group 1 will tell the appropriate uses of kitchen tools
and equipment they picked)
