So let’s start with the definition of terms related to Global Media.

CULTURE
According to Webster Dictionary, Culture is the customary beliefs, social
forms, and material traits of racial, religious, or social group.

(So Culture to be specific is a characteristic features of everyday existence of

people by sharing life in a place or time. You know Our traditions that instilled to
us from our ancestors na up until now is na aadapt pa rin natin sa araw araw na
buhay. Like different beliefs, language, Religion, Art and Literature and form of
government was part of Culture. I believe that A country without Culture has
no Future. Why? Because Culture signifies identity and if walang pagkakakilanlan
bansa pang kasalukuyan? For me, personally I think wala That is why our country
enriched with so much tradition and culture na up until now is na prepreserve pa
rin)

MEDIA

-The term ‘media’ which is the plural of medium, refers to the

communication channels through which we disseminate news, musics, movies,
educations, promotional messages and other data.
(It describes the various ways through which we communicate in society. It may
through newspapers, television, radio, magazines, telephone and Internet. It
refers to all means of communication.

Why is global media important?

(Without global media we cannot know what is happening to the world.Without

without global media malalaman ba natin na magkakaroon tayo ng pandemic?
Without this global media hindi natin malalaman kung anong nangyayari sa mga
iba’t ibang bansa in terms of political, social, and economic changes. That is why
it is important to us nowadays that we have different mode of channels to by
allowing people across the world to share and access the same information. It is
indeed that technologies made people's lives easier all over the globe)

So now let’s proceed to the highlight of our discussion which is all about Global
Media Culture

MEDIA CULTURE
-refers to the culture created under the influence of mass media. The
concept of media culture infers its impact on society’s information consumption
intellectual and guidance.

- Media culture tend to be a major factor in the formation of mainstream

culture since it affects society’s opinions, values, tastes, attitude, and
informational availability
natin. So itong mga information is cinoconsume natin and naibibgyan natin
ng different interpretations. So basically, mas nakakapag consume tayo not
only of local sources but also up to international sources because of the
media is sumasabay din ang Globalization)

Now that we defined Culture, Global Media, and Media Culture, Let’s
proceed to the Globalization of Media,

Gusy, Sa tingin niyo especially ngayon na we are still dealing with

pandemic.
So ayun yung titignan natin sa
ating next discussion.

ROLE OF MEDIA
-While in everyday language “ Globalization” usually refers to
economic and political integration on world scale. It has also crucial
cultural dimension in which the media have a central role.

So Globalization alam naman na natin ang meaning niyan na it is all about

interconnectedness and interdependence between one country to one
another and we all know that it much more focus sa political and market
intergrations pero ang isang important side ng Globalization is also Culture
and the central role of it is media.

According to Sinclair, 2015) In that sense, media of globalization is about most

how most national media systems have become more rationalized. Becoming
more open to outside influences. Both in their content and in their ownership and
control na mga companies na ito.

Come to think of it there’s a lot of companies and news organizations coming

fromn Western countries na nag aair dito sa bansa like CNN News. So it has more
likely open influence due to globalization is nagkakaroon ng pagkakaisa at

Time Periods in the Study of
media sa iba’t ibang bansa according to Lule 2014
