DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Materials produced by the Division of University Relations, Communications and Marketing and other departments at UNT recently earned 22
awards from five professional organizations. Several departments and individuals worked with division staff to produce the materials, which included photography, videos,
and television, radio and magazine advertisements. They were prepared to promote UNT's range of academics, research, and innovative student programs as well as the
university's value to North Texas and to the state.
A video showcasing the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design received the most recognition, taking home prizes from three awarding bodies. The documentary-style

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education presented five awards to staff members and departments for outstanding work in institutional advancement within
District IV, which includes colleges and universities in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Mexico.
URCM received two Telly Awards for videos produced to enhance UNT's image. The Telly Awards, founded in 1978, honors outstanding local and regional cable television
commercials and programs as well as non-broadcast video productions. Entries do not compete against other entries but are judged on a performance scale by members
of the Silver Telly Council.
URCM staff members also earned seven Service Industry Advertising Awards, which recognizes advertising excellence, communication accomplishments and creativity in
the service industry. A national panel of judges evaluated each entry for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal, and overall breakthrough advertising content. More
than 1,400 entries from more than 300 advertising agencies and 900 institutions were received in this year's competition.

In addition, URCM earned three Ava Awards, which recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals and their entries of film, analog and digital productions. The
Ava Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
URCM took home five awards from the 25th Annual Education Advertising Awards, which is the largest competition of its kind in the country. Over 2,000 entries
were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. The awards are sponsored by Higher
Education Marketing Report, which is a leading marketing publication for higher education professionals.
