Bayanihan in the midst of Pandemic

In the middle of a pandemic, the bayanihan is one of a thousand instances of how
we Filipinos appreciate and strive for love, not just for our families, but also for our
community and country. Our sense of social togetherness, hard labor, and cooperation
toward a common objective shows our culture and spirit in time of hardship and
difficulties.
During the pandemic, helping our ‘kababayan’ takes a lot of different forms, like
offering donations, even showing respect, sensitivity, sharing facts, and be responsible to
the protocols imposed by the government. These takes a distinct turn from what usual
bayanihan is. The modernism that we have now, and the situation itself need a diversified
effort from one another. The virus that killed thousands of people in our country indicates
how serious and deadly it can be, the essence of bayanihan during this time is essential to
certainly cease the pandemic.
To all the frontliners who put their lives on the line to help people in need, you are
the new faces of heroes in this era. Thank you is not enough for all the sleepless nights,
worries, tiredness, and the everyday battles you have to fight against the needs and
problems that we are suffering today. Your commitment to serve, as well as your
dedication and lack of selfishness, is invaluable. You motivate me to be brave and be
optimistic in a world when the future seems so uncertain. I genuinely look up to you as a
rule model.
Throughout this terrifying journey, we will be eternally grateful for your courage,
compassion, and care. “Kudos” or salute to all medical frontliners, family heads,
government officials, and private organizations who come together to help and conquer
this virus and its effect to people. As we pray for the betterment of our country, we also
ask God for your safety every day.
