Teaher: Victor Delgado Greetings and introductions class # 3

you're going to learn Greetings that will help you introduce yourself
and others in formal and informal situations Let's start with informal
greetings. When you already know someone the way you greet them
can be informal. If you're meeting a friend

you could greeting them saying "Hi" or "Hello" "Hi" is more informal
than "Hello." When we want to show interest in the other person
we usually ask "How are you?" Very often, a polite answer to this
question is "Fine, thanks. And you?" and you can respond "Very well,
thanks." Keep in mind that "thanks" is the informal way to say "thank
you". Now that you've seen these examples of informal Greetings let's
move on to formal greetings. When we meet someone
for the first time, we say "How do you do?" or "Pleased to meet you."
"How do you do?" is a set phrase. This means you don't need to
actually explain how you are.
