Setting & how to use BrainPOP

Concept / Topic to Teach: What is a setting? Who is the main character? How do we
navigate BrainPOP?

General Goal(s):  Students will have knowledge of what a setting is


 Students will have knowledge of who a main character is
 Students will be able to login and navigate BrainPOP

Specific Objectives:  Identify characters, setting, and major events in a story


 Write and/or draw pictures about a specific topic and
provide details about the topic
 Ask and answer questions by speaking in complete
sentences.

Required Materials:  Stories: Good Girl & Good Boy

Plan For Independent Students will complete their worksheets after hearing the stories,
Practice: they will then choose which story to use. They will also use what
I taught them in BrainPOP to complete a video and one activity.

Closure (Reflect To close our lesson, we will watch two short videos, one on
