Course Description:-
Learning Outcomes:
Students will develop the ability to understand: LINEAR EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES
3. The quadrants and the sign of the co-ordinates of a point in different quadrants.
4. The meaning of origin.
5. Plot the points in the Cartesian plane if the co-ordinates are given.
6. Write the equation in standard form
7. Frame linear equations for a given situation
8. Plot the linear graph after finding three sets of solutions for a given equation, develop
critical thinking and collaboration in the process.
EUCLID’S GEOMETRY
1. Know about the equivalent version of Euclid’s fifth postulate; apply the knowledge of
Euclid’s axioms in solving problems.
2. Comparison skills while doing relations on axioms, postulates and theorem.
3. Thinking skills while doing application based questions on axioms and postulates.
Activities:
Lab activity- Prepare any five situations in which linear equations in two variables is applicable
and also find solutions of it, represent any one of it on graph
Are you missing gol gappe (Pani puri)? Why not, ask your mother to make some for you if she
agrees or better still mae some yourself!
Now let’s think of a situation, suppose your mother has set up a stall today and she will give the
food item at some price only. Let say you ate pani puri worth Rs. 30 and now you have only
Rs.100 note. Change is not available so how much is she going to return to you? 70 right?
Have you ever thought even this simple concept involves linear equations? How?
So, 100-x = 30
Let’s Imagine a milk man if he serves you 1.5 Kg of milk daily and you pay him at the end of the
month. The milk cost Rs. 70 per kg. Suppose on certain days you have taken only 1 kg milk and
rest of days you have taken 1.5 kg. How much amount is to be paid at the month end (30 days)?
Let’s take the no of days you have taken 1 kg milk be x and y be the total amount to be paid.
So 70 x + 105(30-x) = y
Since these are simple calculations and we solve them mentally so that is why we don’t feel that
even while doing these simple things we are involving Mathematics concept (Polynomials) to it.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
5. State the difference between the three sub – atomic particles in detail.
ACTIVITY:
Does an atom look more like a solar system or a cloud? Research about how the early atomic
theory has evolved into the modern atomic theory and changed the way science views an atom.
You can interview students working in Research centres. Then make a “Voice over PPT” about
the comparative analysis of early atomic theory and modern atomic theory. (Include Interview

CELL: Cell Diivision, Model making with plstercine / flipbook on different stages of Mitosis.
TISSUES : Make a collaborative comic strip on different types of tissues in plants and animals
Specific Objectives:
Aim:
To prepare stained temporary mount of onion peel cells and to record observations and draw
labelled diagrams.
Material Required
Onion, plain slides, coverslip, watch glass, needles, forceps, brush, blade, safranin, blotting
paper, glycerine and compound microscope.
Procedure
Observations
A large number of rectangular cells with distinct cell wall can be observed.
Cytoplasm is seen as thin layer of deep coloured substance on inner surface of cell
wall.
A big central vacuole is present in the cell. A deeply stained round body called
nucleus is seen in each cell.
Result:
The epidermal peel of onion comprises of rectangular shaped cells. Each cell comprises of a
nucleus, acentral vacuole, thin layer of cytoplasm and cell wall.
As cell walls and large prominent vacuole are present in each cell, the cells placed under
observation are plant cells.
Experiment (b)
Aim
To prepare stained temporary mount of human cheek cells and tore cord observations and draw
labelled diagrams.
Material Required:
Procedure:
Observation:
Large number of flat polygonal cells with irregular boundaries attached edge to edge are seen.
The cells have thin membrane called cell membrane which encloses jelly like substance called
Cytoplasm.
Result:
Cells under observation do not have cell wall and large prominent vacuole. So, cells of specimen
on the slide are animal cells.
SOCIAL SCIENCE
GEOGRAPHY
Unit Covered: I
Learning Outcomes: After the Completion of chapter students will be able to : appraise the role
of rivers and lakes in the country’s economy.
Activities:
3. Group discussion on the river systems of the country and the role of rivers in the human
society.
HISTORY/CIVICS:
1. Trace the development of the French Revolution from the monarchy to Napoleon
2. Identify the causes, main events and outcomes of the French Revolution
3. Connect emotions (such as fear) and life events (such as poverty) to a tendency for
citizens to want to rebel.

Activities:
1. Collect information and pictures on any current women issue and write a newspaper
article.
2. Students will create' BLOG' on Human Rights.
3. Electing class prefect through online voting.A Google form will be shared where the
students will be asked to vote for their candidate. The candidates, contesting elections will
be making a short campaigning video for the process of elections. This activity will help
the students to understand and examine election process in practical terms.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Learning Outcomes:
The Students will be able to work with MS-Word completely. By completing the unit they will be
able to create poster, frame notice, create beautiful cover pages by using different features of
digital documentation. They will also create a letter or invitation card and send it to as many
people as they want at a same time by using mail merge. They will be aware of different
application area and the use of technology in each application area.
ARTS
Course Description:-
Unit Covered:
Perspective is an art technique for creating an illusion of three-dimensions (depth and space) on
a two-dimensional (flat) surface. Perspective is what makes a painting seem to have form,
distance, and look "real." The same rules of perspective apply to all subjects, whether it's a
landscape, seascape, still life, interior scene, portrait, or figure painting.
#High viewpoint
#Low viewpoint
Activities:
Perspective assignment #1: Using a pencil or pen in your sketchbook, do at least two thumbnail
sketches of two different scenes from both the standing and a low viewpoint. Start by drawing an
outline of the shape of your canvas, say a rectangle that's 2x1, then put down the main lines and
shapes of the scene.
Perspective assignment #2: Spend some time observing how objects are positioned related to
your eye level, whether they're sloping up or down (or parallel to it). Sit somewhere that's got lots
of strong lines, such as a large room with lots of furniture and shelves. Use one finger as the
horizon line, and a finger on the other hand to judge the angles of various objects concerning the
horizon line.
Portrait Sketching
Learning outcomes
Assessment:
Students will use various symbols, techniques, and materials to create a self-portrait that
expresses their individuality. Students will begin with a discussion of who they are and what
defines each of them as a person. Students will be asked to create a self-portrait with pencil,
which will later be colored with pencil colours. Students will also be asked to include the things
and/or people that are important to them within the picture. Finally, students will verbally reflect
on their completed pictures, describing to the teacher what their pictures are about.
