Not only is human sexuality portrayed as a fundamental truth of life in the first two chapters of
the Bible, but an explanation of the essence of sexuality is a central part of the Creation accounts.
God designed the sexes to be bipolar from the start, telling them to "be fruitful and multiply".
This expresses the intent of sexuality and establishes a sexual behavior paradigm in which the
primary objective is to replicate, expand, or perpetuate development. One of the primary
objectives of sexuality, according to Gen 1:28, is procreation. But it is worth noting that human
procreativity is not seen as a representation or emanation of God in this passage. Instead, the
human procreative ability is removed from God's image and shifted to a special word of blessing.
So, it's unique for humans as a gift from God.

It is implied that sexuality (including the act of sexual intercourse) is part of God's conception
since procreation is shown to be part of the divine plan for human sexuality. God's conception is
also beautiful. As a result, sex is a positive thing, not an error or a "regrettable necessity," as it
has been portrayed in Christian and pagan thinking throughout history. Human sexuality (as an
ontological condition and a relational experience) is divinely inaugurated: it has always been a
part of God's perfect plan. It is willed as a fundamental feature of human existence.

Leviticus is an account, manual, or compendium of the religious sacrifices that the God Yahweh
commands to be performed as part of the Hebrew liturgy.

It is the synthesis of all the burnt offerings that had ever been attempted in Jewish literature and
no doubt represented a huge effort for the original writer of Leviticus. It is written for Israel,
which as a people open to external influences thanks to its peculiar geographical location and the
innumerable historical vicissitudes such as wars, or invasions and even the migrations it has
experienced and through which it has received the various religious rituals of the Canaanite,
Assyrian, Babylonian, even Chaldean and Egyptian people themselves.

However, it is a people strongly closed on itself in the religious and cultural aspect, so all these
circumstances are added to strictly own rituals that come from the same prehistory.
Within the sexual acts that deviate from the model established in Genesis, the following appear.

Verse 6 of Leviticus: Relations between close relatives: "No one is to approach any close relative
to have sexual relations. I am the Lord."

Verse 7 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with one's mother: “Do not dishonor your father by having
sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.”

Verse 8 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with the father's wife (stepmother): “Do not have sexual
relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.”
Verse 9 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with one's sister: “Do not have sexual relations with your
sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same
home or elsewhere.”

Verse 10 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with one's grandchildren: “Do not have sexual relations with
your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.”

Verse 11 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with one's sister: “Do not have sexual relations with the
daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.”

Verse 12 and 13 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with your father's/mother’s own sister or (the aunt):
"Do not have sexual relations with your father's sister; she is your father's close relative. Do not
have sexual relations with your mother's sister because she is your mother's close relative.”

Verse 14 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with an aunt in law: “Do not dishonor your father’s brother by
approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.”

Verse 15 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with one's daughter-in-law: “Do not have sexual relations
with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her.”

Verse 16 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with your brother's own wife: “Do not have sexual relations
with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother.”

Verse 17 of Leviticus: Sexual acts with mother and daughter simultaneously: “Do not have
sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either
her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.”

Leviticus 18: Sexual acts with the wife's sister: “Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and
have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.”

Leviticus 19: “Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her
monthly period.”

Leviticus 20: "Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with
her.”

Leviticus 21: "‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not
profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.”

Leviticus 22: “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is
detestable.”

Leviticus 23: “Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman
must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.”
Leviticus 24: “Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that
I am going to drive out before you became defiled.”

Leviticus 25: “Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its
inhabitants.”

Leviticus 26: “But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners
residing among you must not do any of these detestable things 27 for all these things were done by
the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the
land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.”

Leviticus 29: “Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off
from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that
were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your
God.’”
