RE: BASIC AND ONGOING FORMATION PROGRAM FOR 2021

Dear Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings in the Lord!

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all our lay liturgical ministers who
continue to serve our parishes with commitment and generosity during this time of the
pandemic.

Right off, we would like to apologize for the delay of our formation programs this year.
While the materials have long been available, there have been difficulties in the
preparation of the ALC website.

We are launching this year’s formation season for our lay liturgical ministers. Due to
the pandemic restrictions, our formation programs will again be offered online (BASIC
FORMATION for new members and ONGOING/RENEWAL FORMATION for old
members). We request the parish priests and the ministry coordinators to help us
facilitate the program.
We have prepared YouTube playlists (YouTube Channel: Liturgy Manila) of the
formation videos. We will also make available the links at our ALC Facebook page. You

Please take note of the following:

1. Kindly request your members to answer the following questions as requirement for
compliance:

a. What are my significant learning and realizations from the talks?

(Anu ano ang mga natututunan at napagnilayan ko mula sa mga panayam?)
b. In what areas of my life am I called to grow in my service to the Lord and the
Church?
(Ano ang mga hamon ng paglago sa akin sa buhay paglilingkod ko sa Diyos at sa
simbahan?)

2. The ministry heads could organize group sharing sessions wherein ministry
members could share with fellow servants their reflections.

3. The members of the ministries will submit their answers to their ministry
coordinator. There is no need to submit their answers to the ALC.
4. The ministry coordinator will come up with the lists, in the form of recommendation
letters (one letter for new members and one for old members), of those who have
complied with the formation program and have been duly recommended by the
evaluation committee for the annual renewal of commissioning as lay liturgical
minister. Signatories include the parish priest, worship coordinator and ministry
coordinator. Please email your recommendation letter to the Archdiocesan
Liturgical Commission: alc_manila@yahoo.com.

Deadline of submission of recommendation letters will be on July 30, 2021, Friday.

5. IDs and certificates shall be issued to recommended and qualified candidates.

6. Distribution of IDs and certificates will be every Wednesday, 9 am to 4 pm only at

Arzobispado de Manila, Intramuros. Please look for Jay Riano. Please be guided by
the schedule of distribution of certificates and IDs:

7. There is no registration fee but we will appreciate very much donations.

We will be coming up with more online formation programs for the growth of our lay
liturgical ministers.
