My Uncle-Dad-Neighbor Larry verybody has somebody special, and for me it's Larry Williams. When 1 was only two years old, my parents were divorced. You can imagine how I felt: lost, abandoned, unwanted, However, there was someone across, the street to help me. For many years, Larry has had a really important role ‘in my life. He has been like my dad—the dad I never really had. Even today, 5 refer to him as my dad, and if somebody asks how my family knows him, we say he's my uncle. Larry and I are very close, and he's the man I most admire. Some chemicals kill plants, too. Now he wants to teach me about geology and earthquakes. ‘Lary loves the outdoors more than almost anything and knows so ‘much about nature. He is one of those guys who is outdoors every chance hhe gets. He has a huge telescope that he uses to teach me astronomy. He is ‘constantly reading—sometimes about history, but mostly about science.
