1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of group-decision-making making?


The advantages of group decision making is that it has a diversity in opinions,
interest of the individuals, positive and understanding of members, and the collective
contribution of ides. The disadvantage of group decision making is it will consume a lot
more time, different ideas and opinions, some member may become silent in disagreements
of ideas and also the social pressures.
2. What is groupthink? How is this different from group-decision-making?
Groupthink is where people strive for consensus, for example people will set aside
their own personal beliefs or in some cases they will adopt the opinion of the majority of the
group. In group decision making every opinions and thoughts are considered and also the
decision is no longer to a single person but it’s the group’s decision.
