Incentives in Odisha - An adventure or eco-tourism
based incentive programme for delegates then Odisha has the capability to
mesmerise you with a plethora of options such as waterfalls (Khandadhar, etc.),
Chilika Lake (for bird watching, dolphin viewing and water sports), Nandan Kanan
Zoological park known for White Tigers and Lion safari and much more. Delegates
can also be entertained with cultural dance and music shows.
Odisha’s exquisite charm – Be it food,
accommodation, travel, shopping, etc., Odisha provides value-for-money services
and products. This Indian state is the proud host to cultural and religious events
like the Konark festival, Kalinga Utsav, Rath Yatra, Bali Yatra and more. Here you
can shop for ethnic handicrafts, textiles and intricate silver jewellery. Odisha is
adorned with ancient heritage temples and monuments (of Hinduism, Buddhism
and Jainism) like Lingaraj Temple, Konark, Jagannath Puri, Jain caves in
Bhubaneswar and Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri.
CONCLUSION
India is spreading its muscles in the MICE sector both as a market
(domestic and outbound) and as a destination (inbound). The
MICE market of is growing rapidly with a booming domestic sector,
and a terrific outbound traffic. At same time, with the country’s
continuous efforts to increase its inbound corporate travel, hotels
and convention centres are witnessing gigantic expansion
programmes to make India into a leading corporate meetings
destination and hub. While foreign NTOs are making an very
aggressive bid for the Indian MICE traffic, Indian state tourism
boards, venues, hotel chains and MICE operators are also not too
far behind in growth plans to capture the maximum share.
In my point of view the Indian MICE industry is now providing seamless
opportunities for knowledge exchange , globlisation & accelerates non
governmental diplomacy. In such kind of events people tends to spend 20
to 30 percent times more than they spend on average travelling. The key
players for the MICE INDUSTRY IN INDIA are – food and beverage ,
medical , pharma , media and infrastructure.
There are several new opportunities are available to
develop & promote MICE business, especially in the field
of Conferences and Convention. India has got big and
mega convention & conference centres and we can now
bid for larger conferences. We have quality and world class
new hotels coming up in Delhi and the prices are quite
comfortable and rooms are available. With the new
government of NARENDRA MODI at the Centre, there is
an overall impression and strong believe that the economy
will boom by April 2015. This positive impression will help
us facing the industrial challenges and move forward for
rapid and better growth in the industry in the upcoming
months.
