Charging Operation of Battery Voltage Control Switch "FLOAT VOLTAGE” This position gives output voltage of 26~26.5 ¥ and is used during normal operation. The floating charging method is a method to charge the battery continuously by connecting the charger, the load, and the battery in parallel, wherein the voltage of the charger is kept a little higher than the electromotive force of the battery. ‘The battery is always kept in fully or neary fully charged state. However, the load circuit may be affected, unless the charging yoltage is charged under excessive voltage for a long tine, the life of the battery may be shortened. If th charging voltage is too low, insufficient charging will result. "EQUAL VOLTAGE” In order to unify the charging condition of each unit battery and eliminate the sulfate that affects the battery, an equelizing charg should be perforned every 1~2 months. Caution During the charging voltage adjust, carefully observe the DC ammeter (Set the "DC AMMETER SYITCH” in "CHARGE”) and do not over the rating current. If the charging current 1s over the rating current, the parts nay be damaged or the fuse nay be nelted. During the equalizing charge voltag adjust, also observe the DC voltmeter (Set the "DC VOLTHETER SWITCH” in "BUS.”) and do not over 267 If the charging voltage is over 28¥, the parts may be danaged. For the details of performance and others of the batteries, please refer to their proper nanual as attached thereto. NAME OF DRY PLAN Yo. 4, MISCELLANEOUS 4-1, 4-2. Silicon Droppers To maintain the feeder bus voltage about 24V silicon droppers are placed. No-voltage Relay (If Provided) No-voltege relay is connected across two poles of the 247 DC power circuit. If the relay is received NO-voltage signal, it will closes the exergency Light circuit, For operation check of the energency light circuit contactor and emergency Light, use the pushbutton switch "NO VOLT TEST”. Insulation Test Jo check the feeder line’s insulation with respect to earth, two lamps (PEN) are provided. They are normally alight at the sane brightness. In turned on the switch "EARTH LAMP", no change in the lenp’s brightness the insulation is good. If one of the lemps is less brighter then the other there is an earth fault in that pole line. Insulation Monitor System Yhen the earth test switch is normal position this system observes insulat ion-resistance of the circuit. If the insulation-resistance value 1s lower than the setting value, the insuletion alarm lamp "RL" ate vorked. NAME OF RW PLAN No. 4-68 a) INSULATION MONITOR (J RI~5 ON ) GENERAL This instrument is constructed of a meter relay and an auxiliary box, and can measure the value of Insulation resistance between D.C. conductive and ground normally and then simultanuously give a alarm contact signal to operate on alara system by setting pointer of meter relay. When the auxiliary pover source supplys, this Instrument is watching and measuring for Insulation resistance of the pover supply line. If the insulation resistance value Is lower than the setting value, the alarm contact is worked. The setting of insulation resistance for alarm relay Is obtained by adjusting the knob on the meter relay. * Caution vhen insulation resistance test on the pover supply line by "HEGGER", renove the vires connected to the terminals (AUX box 1,2~4,8,meter relay 2) on auxiliay box and meter relay. NAME OF DRW. PLAN NO. 5. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION Perfect naintenance by giving periodical inspection is advised for Keeping the equipuent in normal condition. Following are the main point for checking. 1) Shorting or Bresking of circuit, 2) Earth of circuit, 3) Faulty contact in terminal parts and etc., 4) Loosening of bolts or nuts for instellation, 5) Lowering of resistance due to dust etc., NAME OF DRW PLAN No. JRCS International Service Network Australia NOVAMARINE INSTRUMENTS PTY LTD 30 Downie Street, Wickham, N.S.W. 2293, Australia Tel: +61 249 694477 Fax: +61 249 621210 E-mail: Jaris@novamarine.com.au Belgium RADIO HOLLAND BELGIUM (Technical subcontractor for AMRG N.V.) ‘ANTWERP: Noordersingel 17, 2140 Antwerp, Belgium Tel: +323.3209970 Fax: +32 3 320 9971 E-mail: serv@euromarine.be ZEEBRUGGE: Groenlandstraat 93, 8380 Zeebrugge, Belgium Tel: +32 50 559855 Fax: +32 50 55 98 56 E-mail: serv2@euromarine.be ‘AMG NV.
