Dear Teacher,
Welcome to the Doodle Town 1 Teacher’s Resource Center. Here you will find all
the downloadable resources you need and tips on how to make the most of them.

Class audio
All the class audio for Doodle Town is provided as mp3 files, which you can download
from the TRC and save to your device. You can download one unit at a time or all
the audio for Level 1.

Animations
There are two animations for each of Units 1–9 and one for Unit 10, provided as mp4
files.

Print and Play materials

These are downloadable PDFs for use in the class. There are three main types:
Pictures, Numbers, and Templates. The Teacher’s Edition gives plenty of information
on how to use them within lessons. The materials used in each unit of Doodle Town 1
are listed at the end of this document.

Letters to Parents
These should be sent to the parents at the start of each new unit. They provide
information about what the children will learn in the new unit, and they also include the
lyrics of the Language Presentation and Values Songs so parents can sing with their
children. The letters are provided as PDFs in six languages. The English version is also
provided as a Word document, so you can amend the text or translate it into another
language if you wish.

Review Checklists and Progress Reports

The Review Checklists are for use with Review 1 and Review 2. You can use the
Checklists to note how all the students perform in the Review lesson. The Progress
Reports allow you to use the information in the Checklists and the Let’s Check lesson at
the end of each unit to create an individual Progress Report for each child to bring home.
This will help parents understand how their child is progressing in English. The reports
are provided as PDFs in six languages. The English version is also provided as a Word
document, so you can amend the text or translate it into another language if you wish.
You can use the back side of the Progress Report to write additional comments.

Poster activities
Doodle Town 1 includes three Class Posters (Review 1, Review 2, and Rhyming Pairs).
This document gives ideas for fun activities and ways you can use each of these Posters.
