This was not what I wanted

I am here! In the middle of nowhere, I thought that if there was no technology in my life everything
would be terrible, but now I am here in this beautiful place. This space is freer than birds, the
quietest in the world. My name is Sara. I was a person dedicated to find the best equipment,
devices, for helping to improve The humans' quality of life, but all my work was ruined because of
a project mismanagement. Maybe this no longer matters.

Now that I can reflect on everything that existed around me. We had a device called a television for
the reception and reproduction of signals which captured images and sounds, and its emission and
diffusion was by different means, this thing helped us entertain ourselves, however, it was also
considered a way of wasting time, people could last for hours sitting in front of them without doing
absolutely anything else, the children were the ones who enjoyed it the most and mothers loved to
watch soap operas.

There was also a device called the radio that did not have so much technology included but it did
have more scope. It was a system or industry that transmitted audio content programs to the public
or subscribers, this was widely used by young people, they loved to put out their best albums. but
for some people nothing was enough, I had known families who enjoyed watching television or
listening to the radio, or shopping at home. but suddenly everything changed and the families
wanted to do other activites. So, the internet came. This universal tool capable of storing the
greatest amount of information. The internet aroused the interest of many people, even though I
have used it to this day of course. When this system arrived, everything was easier, useful, and
practical. We all had insisted that this was everything and we would not need anything else in our
life. This tool had had a great relationship with the press since they were in charge of bringing the
news to people’s homes, of keeping everyone aware of what was happening around us. With this
technology, everything was wonderful, even for me, who worked with it, finding more and more
technological advancements that make life easier for us.

I had started an adventure, my mission was to contact people in the depths of the world who could
give me an advanced contribution of technology. Suddenly I was informed that in northern Europe,
to be more specific, in Latvia, There is the person that I had searched for so long. This person
could create a robot that would do everything for us, and that was our life ideal.

I started my adventure, when I got to this place I had never imagined finding a country with so
much technology. They no longer handled as we did, on the contrary, everything was improved to
100%. The buildings were bigger than the Eiffel Tower, the streets were empty because people
were transported in cars bigger than a dump truck. The country was communicated through giant
screens. The place where this person lived was the largest in the entire country. I have never been so
surprised as I was at that moment.

When I met this person it was a unique moment. His name was Otis, it was impressive how he
could handle an entire country with a remote control and a Screen. The only thing that was seen
around him were these robots doing everything. I only imagined what would happen if I managed to
implement this technology in my country. Otis was willing to help me, so he sold me part of it his
team of robots, I knew that people in my country would pay large amounts of money to obtain one
of this.

But this was not going to be so easy. I had to stay for a long time to learn how these robots were
built and controlled, in addition to other things that were too advanced for my country.

It happened around 20 years and old age had arrived but my knowledge was still intact. I had
known too many things, I had used too much technology, I had built different tools. I felt that I was
ready to return.

On the plane, I just thought about how this new project would change our lifestyle, less stress,
more energy and more time to live.

When I arrived, everything was a disaster !! there was absolutely nothing, worried I wondered what
had happened. My country was in ruins and empty. I traveled through all the cities trying to find
answers, because it had been a long time since I had talked to anybody, I justa focused on finding
the best technology.When I finally found someone called Victor, a naval officer, his appearance
was not exactly that of an officer. He told me: everybody was obsessed with getting the best
entertainment, the best fun, we forget the most important: health. A disease came that took hold of
everything and everyone. Within so much technology it was impossible to find a cure. This disease
was transmitted by all technological devices, televisions, computers, telephones, tablets.

Victor mentioned that the only part of the population that had been saved were those who lived in
the north of the country because in this part there were only poor people, for this reason, they were
not contaminated with this disease called cyber virus and here I am in the middle of nowhere.
Making fun of myself about how deluded I was, knowing that by doing more I did less.

I finished with my country, I finished with what one day I could be the most beautiful, I ruined it.
