 Fundamental forces of nature

Four forces are considered as fundamental forces in nature, they are

1) Gravitational Forces

 Force of mutual attraction between any two objects with mass

 Weakest forces in nature

2) Weak Nuclear Forces

 Discovered during the study of the phenomenon of β-decay in radioactivity

 These are the forces of interaction between elementary particles of short life

times.
3) Electromagnetic Forces

 Forces between charged particles moving in Electric and magnetic field

4) Strong Nuclear Forces

 These forces bind the neutrons and protons together in different nuclei.
−14
 Short range forces (operate within the distances of the order of 10 m)

 Strongest forces in nature; 10 times stronger than gravitational forces

 Attractive in nature

Ratio between the magnitudes fundamental force are forces when magnitude of
gravitation is taken as 1.
