Honeywell Field Advisor™ R110 Specification 4
1 Product Introduction
Field Advisor is deployed on handheld computers from various manufacturers including Honeywell’s Dolphin series of mobile
computers. Technologies such as barcodes and RFID transponders can be used to assure appropriate tasks are performed
for an asset. Peripherals, such as vibration probes and temperature guns, can also be utilized to further simplify the
collection of data related to an assets condition.
Simply providing a tool to present tasks to field operators will not achieve the desired operations, maintenance or reliability
improvements and goals. Reporting and notification mechanism must enable appropriate action related to the recorded data
and exceeded limits. Field operators will truly own the assets they operate as they see appropriate action taken as a result
of their work. Field Advisor provides the necessary reporting and notification capabilities to assure this important feedback
loop is in place and functional. Additionally, complex analysis is possible using the desktop reporting tools available with
process historians when the inspection data collected by Field Advisor is archived in the historian. For example, inspection
data can be analyzed alongside other process data archived in Honeywell’s Uniformance® PHD using the industry-leading
engineering tools provided in the Uniformance Process Studio.
1.2 Architecture
Honeywell Field Advisor can be deployed at the
enterprise level and be configured to manage
the field tasks at multiple sites. The flexible
architecture can also be deployed to meet
individual site needs.
