premises. The details of research programmes to be conducted by the Recognized

research degree programmes in detail. Interested candidates may submit filled-in
application forms to the respective Recognized Research Centre (RRC) indicating
research degree programmes they intend to submit application. Candidates are
requested to go through the details given below before submitting an application for
July 2011.

The details received pertaining to Sri Aurobindo Centre for Advanced Research,
Centre for Social Studies, C.S.I. Centre for Educational Research and Development,
Mount Carmel College and Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) are placed
below for information. In case of other RRCs, candidates may contact them to get
information on their research programmes being offered and submit filled-in
application subject to they offer such research programmes for July 2011 cycle.

(www.ignou.ac.in). Candidates may visit “Students Zone” and then visit “Admission”
under which you may get the link http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/studentzone/admission/11
for Prospectus and Applications along with Advertisement for Ph.D/M.Phil programmes. For
easy access, the Prospectus and Application and the Advertisement are bifurcated in to 9
files (1 to 9). Advertisement on Research Programmes (File 1), contact addresses of
Research Coordinators (file 2), Information on Research Disciplines (file 3 to 7 and 9) and
Application Forms (file 8).

Candidates are required to submit filled-in application form to the respective Recognized
Research Centre along with a demand draft Rs.750/- in favour of the respective RRC, to be
drawn at the place where RRC is situated. Please remember filled-in application and
Demand Draft should be sent to the respective RRC only and not to IGNOU.

Note: Every RRC shall follow IGNOU’s guidelines in admitting/registering M.Phil/Ph.D

candidates as placed in the Prospectus. Similarly, every RRC shall process all filled-in
applications received at their end as per IGNOU’s Ordinances and Regulations and
notifications and guidelines issued time-to-time.

Research Degree Programmes of the University shall be guided by the existing Ordinances
and Regulations of the University. Any amendment/modifications prescribed by the UGC
from time to time shall be considered by the University Authorities/Bodies before their
implementation. Till that date the University shall follow its own Ordinances and
Regulations maintaining standards/quality in conducting research programmes.
