3. COMPANY INFORMATION

3.1 VISION

Our vision is “Vision Matters”. To become the number one choice for adults and kids when
it comes to eye care service and most affordable in Kuala Lumpur and also top 10 optical
providers in Malaysia.

3.2 MISSION

ANTS Optical mission is to establish a first-rate eye wear shop that will serve customer
with high quality eyewear and affordable prices in our services. We aspire to be one of the
most respected names in the optometry industry in Kuala Lumpur and throughout
Malaysia.

3.3 OBJECTIVES

ANTS Optical aims to provide you with professional eye care as well as a friendly and
courteous service along with the highest quality products at the best possible price. As a
well-established independent optician, we have the freedom to choose the best products
from any manufacturer. This means we can provide you with a diverse range of eyewear
with high-quality frames. Our dedication to quality extends to the people who care for your

staff will provide your spectacles or contact lenses. The optometrists will advise you to
receive what you need for your eyes, as well as on selecting the products best suited to your
personal characteristics, appearance, and lifestyle, is something you can count on.

3.4 VALUES

• Quality matters with affordable prices

Eyewear quality and innovation are becoming increasingly important in an age of
growing technology. Branding is only valuable if it upholds the company's integrity by
only projecting true facts. Branding without quality will help us make initial sales, but once
people realize the quality of your sunglasses is poor, they will stop purchasing them.
Quality sunglasses must be long-lasting and promote healthy vision. Sunglasses must be
long-lasting and, ideally, UVA and UVB-blocking. We should prepare a pair of sunglasses
that will protect our customer eyes. While many people use sunscreen to protect themselves

9
from the sun, fewer people take the same precautions to protect their eyes. If your eyes are
not protected from the sun, they can suffer from vision complications. We tend to make
our customer last long with our shop.

• A strong brand is associated with a strong business.

For optical companies, branding is essential. In today's market, what sets one company
apart from another is their ability to convince customers to buy their product. To put it
another way, one company controls the sunglass industry and can charge ridiculous prices
just for a label. Without the company, the frames would have cost only RM 50 to make.
Pricing high products inflates your value and makes people believe that high quality
products are available. This logo provides an enormous competitive advantage once your
logo is established and recognized. Companies such as Oliver Peoples, Ray ban and Chanel
can charge so much for a single sunglass because people purchase the brand. If people trust
a brand and think it's worthwhile, they will want products with it. For our company we
want to change our company that provide high quality of eyewear but comes with
affordable prices. We want to change the perspective that an affordable price that we
provide for the customer will provide high quality. So, to make our product branding
famous from our competitors cause branding is important and it will gain trust to our
products.

6.ANALYSIS OF ALTERNATIVES

Product

To ensure the product is known by many, promoting it via radio advertisements and social media
such as Facebook and Instagram would be carried out. Not only that, but billboards will also be
installed on strategic locations to ensure it is known by many in the long run. As the advertisements
keep appearing on the said places, a psychological effect takes place in which human will tend to
purchase it at one point since our product is open to everyone, therefore, it is always available for
every individual, even if it is for styling purpose. Based on other company’s eyewear, quite a few
them only promote formal eyewear, therefore, our company focuses on informal as well and
eyewear that is solely manufactured for appearance alone.

Besides that, the nation now is spending more time with gadgets, hence worsening their eyesight.
Our product ensures to protect every individual from being exposed to radiation from these
gadgets. The advantages of our product will be promoted as well in an engaging method. Not only
that, but free gifts also that follows with every purchase of our product will ensure customers will
buy them. Occasional promotions that is available will draw in more customers. Our sales manager
oversees promotions and focuses on methods to draw in more customers. Any ideas related to
design is passed on to manufacturer to decide and produce.

Customer

To ensure the product meets customer’s requirement, a survey will be carried out manually through
face to face and online. This is carried out by our sales and marketing manager as well. In the
survey, questions involving the design specification based on preferences will be put out to ensure
that the manufactured design does satisfy our customers. As all our eyewear have blue light
protection, an optometrist is still necessary to ensure if the customer does not need a prescribed
glasses instead of style glasses. Recommendation regarding eyewear is made by optometrist as
prescription is given by them alone. Therefore, our optometrist focuses on customer’s specific
needs in terms of lenses and so on. This is necessary to avoid any risk such as eye damage, which
results in extra care provided by our company. We accept cash, PayPal and credit/debit card
payments.

Competitor

We do not have much of a competitor although there are quite several companies running a similar
business. The only issue to oversee is the lack service provided by other companies to their
customer. Therefore, methods to prevent such issues were taken in count. As a result, we have
introduced online review as well as manual face-to-face review which can be given at our store.
Also, issues related to technical aspects of our eyewear can be resolved online. If problem persist,
customers can file in a report in our website which will be investigated by our sales and marketing
manager and tend to. We provide online customer service as we do not wish to trouble our

22
customers by making them travel all the way to our store. Instead, our sales manager will tend to
it and resolve it immediately. As this may seem a little common among other companies, we have
added extra care by tending to our customers by visiting them to change their damaged eyewear.
By doing this, we can gain the trust of our customers. Besides, we have slightly additional charges
when it comes to visiting customers for technical issues. With that, we tend to profit as well
compared to other companies.

Production

We have third parties in charge of manufacturing our frames and lenses. It is based here in Selangor
as well. These manufacturers complete the design while packaging is done by us. This is because
as a beginner company, finance is to be considered before allowing another party to take over
packaging. As soon as the finance is stable, an additional third party to handle the packaging and
transporting process will be delegated.

The manufacturer is as follow:

Eyewearland.Com

No.42-2, Petaling Utama Avenue,

Jalan PJS 1/50, Taman Petaling Utama,
Petaling Jaya, 46150
Selangor

Payback Period

The payback period is calculated from the initial investment and net cash flow.

Payback Period = Initial Investment / Net Cash Flow

= 500 000 / 47,000

= 10.64 years

The payback period is 10.64 years based on the investment consisting of 50% which is RM 47,000.
