PERSONS AND FAMILY RELATIONS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This subject, by way of introduction to Civil Law, deals with the effect and application of
laws, rules on human relations, the efficacy of civil personality, and, most especially, marriage as
a contract and as an institution. The different facets of marriage are given emphasis – its
requisites for validity, the personal and property relations between the spouses, paternity and
filiation, including adoption and emancipation, and in general, various aspects of family
relations.
