AMS5520G revised 3.4.1 .3 for bending, and has been subsequently reaffirmed to comply with the SAE five-year review
policy.
1. SCOPE

1 .1 Form

This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant steel in the form of sheet, strip, foil, and plate.

1 .2 Application

These produ cts have been used typically for parts req uiring corrosion resistance and high strength u p to 600 °F (31 6 °C)
and where su ch parts may req uire welding during fabrication, but usage is not limited to su ch applications.

1 . 2. 1 Certain d esign and processing procedu res may cause these prod ucts to become susceptible to stress-corrosion
cracking; ARP1 1 1 0 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.

2. APPLI CABLE DOCU MEN TS

The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the pu rchase order forms a part of this specification to the
extent supplied herein. The supplier may work to a su bseq uent revision of a docu ment unless a specific document issu e
is specified . When the referenced d ocu ment has been cancelled and no supersed ing d ocument has been specified , the
last pu blished issue of that document shall apply.
