The major differences between business tourist and leisure tourist in Hotel

BUSINESS TOURIST

Business tourist is concerned with people travelling for purposes which are related to their work,
general business travel, meetings, exhibitions, and incentive travel. Traveling for business tourist
always implies meeting people, but it may less frequently involve visiting sites/places or
attending events. They might occasionally visit sites for the development of a new project for
instance and they might attend events, such as inauguration of a new service or production line,
but they always aim at meeting people, formally and informally.

Location is the number one priority for all business travelers. Business tourists want to be located
in the hotel that their conference is being held or as close to the venue or site they have to visit.
They don’t want to be trekking the length and breadth of the city just to get to your meeting on
time. If you do have to travel, it’s important that they are located near public transport.

They live in an age where we need to be connected 24/7 when traveling for business purposes.
They may need to receive or send emails, google something, video call our boss to let them
know how the trip is going. The hotel must have a fast and stable Wi-Fi connection.

Time is limited and they may have some work to do leading up to a presentation or conference.
They will stay at a hotel where everything is either available in your room, or it can be delivered
to it, for example, a workstation, a laundry service, and in-room dining.

LEISURE TOURIST

Leisure tourist always implies tourists visiting places and this is the reason why tourists normally
change their overseas vacation destinations from time to time. For leisure tourist, a vacation may
or may not involve attendance of events.

When they are paying for travel and accommodation, they always want to feel like we are getting
the most for our money. Something doesn’t necessarily have to be cheap, as quite often cheap
equals not very good, but it does have to be a good value for money. With so many price
comparison sites on the internet, finding the right flight and accommodation within our set
budget couldn’t be easier, especially if they can be flexible when it comes to destination, date,
and duration.

They like nothing more than heading back to our hotel and taking a dip in the pool, whether that
be an outdoor pool in hot destinations or a heated indoor one in cold destinations. They like the
hotels with a bar for a pre-dinner drink and more often than not a nightcap before bed.
