Elaboration for part d):
Smart Uni System aims to bring convenience to all users as well as improve the efficiency of the
facilities of UTAR. Its main components consist of Smart Uni Tag, Monitor and RFID reader as well as
Smart Uni application. The Smart Uni Tag is a 3cm x 1cm sticker that is embedded with a radio
frequency chip, and unique to each user. The Smart Uni Tag is suggested to affix to the back of the
mobile phone as mobile phone is essential for everyone in this busy world. Smart Uni application
supports both Android and Apple mobile device, which users can install the Smart Uni application
which interrelated with the Smart Uni System from Google Play Store or Apple Store, in order to
check and monitor all the features and functions of this system.

i) Automated attendance taking
ii) Temperature measurement
iii) Reminder function
iv) Location detection
v) Security and apparel check in main entrance

Dear respondent,

We are undergraduate students from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) who are pursuing
Bachelor of International Business (Hons). We are conducting a survey for the required course,
UALE2003 English for Management in order to figure out the potential market for our new product,
Smart Uni System by using RFID technology. The system consists of Smart Uni Tag and Smart Uni
application. The Smart Uni Tag is a piece of 3cm x 1cm sticker which is embedded with radio
frequency chip (RFID). It is recommended to paste the Smart Uni Tag on the back of the phone in
order to allow users to enter their campus. Meanwhile, users need to install the Smart Uni
application associated with the Smart Uni System from the Google Play Store or Apple Store to
utilize all the functions of this system. This new system can take attendance automatically along with
notifications that show attendance percentage, payment due date and class reminder. Besides, the
remaining functions will be temperature measurement, apparel check and location detection.
