What is MS Paint?
 Microsoft Paint or 'MS Paint' is a basic graphics/painting utility
that is included in all the Microsoft Windows versions.

 MS Paint can be used to draw, color and edit pictures, including


imported pictures from a digital camera for example.

Launching Paint Program

1. Click on the Start button

2. Click on All Programs then click on Accessories

3. Click on Paint program

1. Click on the Start button


2. Click on All Programs, then click on Accessories
3. Right-click on Paint
4. When the pop-up menu appears, point on Send to
5. Click Desktop (Create Shortcut).
Using Search Box
1.Click on Start Button
2.Type “Paint” in the Search Box
3.Press Enter Key

1. Application icon
This icon represents the Paint Program.
Click this button to display commands used to contr

2. Quick Access Toolbar
This toolbar allows you to put
buttons that represent
commands such as Save, Undo
or any button that you use most
often in Paint Program

3. Title bar
This part of the window shows the name of the Paint
Program and file name of your drawing.
4. Minimize Button
This reduce the Paint Window
into a small button on the
taskbar 5. Maximize Button
This enlarges the paint
window to its fullest size on the
screen

6. Close Button
This exits or closes the Paint window.
7. Paint Button
The command in this button allows
you to open, save and print your file.
8. Tabs
The tabs in the Paint program
are the Home and View tabs.
The Home Tab contains tools and commands to be
used in drawing white the View Tab allows you to
choose any number of drawings you wanted to view

It is rectangular bar below the title bar with tools and
commands

10. Group
This is a set of commands or tools found inside the
ribbon. For fast identification, each set is labeled.

12. Scroll bar


This allows you to see the picture that you
cannot see on your window. You can drag the
scroll bar upward, downward or sideward.

13. Zoom slider


This may enlarge or reduce the view of your
picture by dragging the slider. The plus (+)
sign is Zoom in and the minus (-) sign is to
Zoom out.
