COMPARATVE STUDY ON RC FRAME WITH FIXED BASE, BASE ISOLATED RC FRAME USING
FRICTION PENDULUM BEARING AND RC FRAME WITH FRICTION DAMPER USING TIME
HISTORY ANALYSIS

Abstract: Earthquake occurrence is still remaining unpredictable to the engineers. Damping and base isolation
techniques and energy dissipation techniques such as a damper, reduce response of structure, hence there is
necessity to investigate the effect of base isolators and dampers on the response of structure.
The scope of present study aims at evaluation of seismic performance of RC frame structure using time history
analysis and response spectrum method. The parametric study of seismic performance in terms of storey
displacement, storey acceleration, storey velocity, modal time period ,effective time period, spectral
displacement, spectral acceleration, base shear, storey drift etc of three models with varying height is done using
ETABS.
NAME OF PROJECT (B.E.): INTERLINKING OF RIVERS

Abstract: According to the National Water Policy, 2002, first priority has been given to drinking water. As such
provision for drinking water should be primary consideration for any water resources project.
In order to cope up with the requirements, it is proposed to divert surplus available water from Damanganga
basin to Greater Mumbai through Pinjal reservoir. In the proposed study design of dams, spillway and canals is
done to interlink these rivers.

My Role and Responsibility: 1. Design of Dams and Spillway.

2. Research on design of dams.
3. Research on design of spillway.
