NOTICE OF APPEARANCE
Greetings:
Please enter the appearance of the Solicitor General as counsel for the Republic of the
Philippines in the above-entitled case, and cause all notices, orders, resolutions, decisions and other
processes to be served upon the Office of the Solicitor General, at 134 Amorsolo St., Legaspi
Village, Makati City.
The Office of the City Prosecutor of Tanjay City, Negros Oriental has been authorized to
appear in this case, and therefore, should also be furnished with notices, orders, resolutions,
decisions and other court processes. Since the Solicitor General retains supervision and control
over the handling and representation of this case, only Solicitor General can approve withdrawal of
the case, non-appeal or other actions which appear to compromise the interest of the Government,
Notices, Orders, Resolutions and Decisions not served on the Solicitor General will not bind the
party herein represented.
Adverse parties are likewise requested to furnish both the Solicitor General and the
Prosecutors with copies of their pleadings and motions.

Pursuant to Section 35 (7), Chapter 12, Title III, Book IV of the Revised Administrative Code
of 1987 in relation to Sec. 1 (g), P.D. No. 478 and Sec. 11€, P.D. 1275, you are hereby deputized to
assist the Solicitor General in all the subsequent hearings until the case is terminated.
Please be informed that your authority is subject to the reservation contained in the Notice
of Appearance filed by the Solicitor General in this case that only notices, orders, resolutions and
decisions served on the Office of the Solicitor General will bind the Government or the entity, agency
and/or official herein represented.
Kindly advise this office, from time to time, of the progress of this case. Upon promulgation of
judgment, you may submit to the office for evaluation of your report and recommendation on the
merits of the case together with copies of the transcript of the proceedings, if possible.
