Titles: Chapter 11: Organizational Control and Change

• Have you ever been blocked when trying to implement a change at work?

When I working in the agriculture organization, I have ever blocked the one is Low Employee
Morale, I always have seen the problem facing in organization and I encourage to my manager to get
decision from my opinion to changing organizational structure form a flat structure in which all
employee is encouraged to give feedback and help make decisions to a top-down structure in which
all power and decision making. Although I am a part of the organization decision team, the other
member do not obtaining my option as I they don’t agree.

• How did you attempt to overcome the resistance? What worked? What didn't?

I try to approach to my manager to get present what happened our organization now and future.
Finally, I can have a change to present about the organization happening the detail our customer
service Phone call, customer trust building between our products, safety, affordable price and
quality of products that is directly affected by organizational income. Most of our team member do
not checks details our organization. That is the problem in my organization need to change
organizational structure. I actually not in the HR department but I have a chance to work at in this
department to manage employee. I just know the problem but I didn’t do the systematics way to
overcome the resistance.

• What did your opponent(s) do? What worked? What didn't?

Analysing in all data, find why our income are decreasing yearly by yearly, most of them are making
decision in order to produce quality of product, using new technology, location and etc. That
probability in some part of organizational structure so In some part, our team member replace new
technology, changing location office and changing production. They invest of more money to
increase customers. They didn’t investigate what happened between customer and employees.

• If you had it to do over again, what would you do differently? ... the same?

Yearly we draw our organizational structure like some are changing, I will wait at the end of year
and I will draw organizational structure with my team, before we working in the field, we will
implement together, our goal, monitoring and evaluation, structure and strategy. As a manager, will
have plan A and Plan b that can recover easily our problem. Initially will responsible of their part, we
will make organizational control part as a manager need to evaluate the member performance. As a
person team member encourage to customer and employer feedback. We can change our weakness
as we will follow the feedback from the customers. I will change step by step planning of our
organization.

• What lessons from your experience would you share with your classmates?
I learned a lot from the organizational structure was unactable for employee that have many lacks of
structures. Analysing the whole data is most important part that can know what the problem is
facing and need to change and that can control the budget. As a organizational team member need
to know the employee performance in order to improve our organizational goals that can do to
improve of employee skill and performance. As a manager need to control the budgeting system for
operating organization. As a manager, should encouraged to give feedback for customer and
employee and it’s can help, motive all level of employee.
