A. If the WBGT reading is up to 25.8,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:
FOR All Worker’s Body weight Continuous Work

B. If the WBGT reading is From 25.9 to 27.9,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:
118.6 kg worker weight and below Continuous Work
118.7 kg worker weight and above 45 Minutes work, 15 Minutes rest

C. If the WBGT reading is From 28 to 29.3,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:
67.9 kg worker weight and below Continuous Work
68 kg to 118.6 kg worker weight 45 Minutes work, 15 Minutes rest
118.7 kg worker weight and above 30 Minutes work, 30 Minutes rest

D. If the WBGT reading is From 29.4 to 29.9,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:
67.9 kg worker weight and below Continuous Work
68 kg worker weight and above 30 Minutes work, 30 Minutes rest

B. If the WBGT reading is From 25.9 to 27.9,

FOR All Worker’s Body weight 45 Minutes work, 15 Minutes rest

C. If the WBGT reading is From 28 to 29.9,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:
FOR All Worker’s Body weight 30 Minutes work, 30 Minutes rest

D. If the WBGT reading is From 30 to 32.1,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:

FOR All Worker’s Body weight 15 Minutes work, 45 Minutes rest

If the WBGT reading is 32.2 and above,


please follow the below work / rest regimen:

FOR All Worker’s Body


15 Minutes work, 45 Minutes rest
weight and for all activities

ONLY with the following control measures:

• Reschedule any strenuous activities on the coolest time of the


day as possible.
• Provide shaded area with good ventilation, if failing to do so, the
Job will be ceased.
• Provide fans or portable A/Cs to increase air movement & reduce
temperature at work stations.
• Provide strict supervision for the workers to detect any case with
heat stress.
• Allow only fit and acclimatized workers to perform tasks in hot
areas.
• Provide adequate amounts of cool, potable water near the work
area.
• Drink plenty of water about 1 cup every 15 minutes EVEN IF YOU
DON'T FEEL THIRSTY.
• Wearing proper PPE

Example of LIGHT Activities:


• Light manual work (writing, typing, drawing, sewing, book-keeping).
• Hand and Arm work (small bench tools, inspection, assembly or sorting of
light materials).
• Arm and Leg work (driving vehicle in normal conditions, operating foot
switch or pedal).
• Maintenance Routine work activity inside the building with light hand or arm
work (Excluding production area building)
• Maintenance Non Routine work activity inside the building with light hand or
arm work (Excluding production area building)
• Sampling, Taking Reading, Walkthrough, Safety audit and Routine
Inspection activity in the plant
• Light activity decided by supervisor other than above Activity

Example of MODERATE Activities:


• Sustained hand and arm work (hammering in nails, filing)
• Maintenance Routine and Non Routine work activity under shade & inside
production area building
• Driving forklift for loading and unloading material
• Frequently ascending and descending from stair in production area
• Housekeeping in production area
• Pulling and pushing activities
• Moderate activity decided by supervisor other than above Activity

Example of HEAVY Activities:


• Maintenance Routine and Non Routine work activity under direct sunlight
• Heavy lifting activity using Crane, chain pully block
• Hydro jetting
• Excavation
• Working with SCBA, Respirator
• Working inside confined space
• Hot work & welding work
• Working at height , inside vessel, with wearing chemical suit and respirator
• Heavy activity decided by supervisor other than above Activity
