MY PERSONAL STATEMENT

As at the time of writing this personal statement, I reflected my mind back two decades ago after losing
both my parents in the hands of the rebels during the 11 year civil war in my country. It was a day I will
never forget, where I had ask myself “where would I go from here” with no parents, but certainly I made a
conscientious decision to myself to focus on my education and to enter a field which would provide me
with a sense of achievement and, at the same time, produce a positive impact on mankind. It became
apparent to me that a career in Information Technology would fulfill these objectives. In retrospect, my
ever-growing commitment to Technology has been developing for years. My intense interest in computer,
education, and current events seems particularly appropriate to this field and has prepared me well for such
a critical choice at this juncture of my life.

Even though I have been passionate about technology for a long time, I actually didn’t know that I wanted
to make it into a career until I got my requirement to enter university, where I studied Information
Communication and technology, and since graduating I have been able to impact a lot of lives, my recent
contributions and achievements came as my country embarks on its first successful biometric electric voting
system. I had to play a great role in capturing and tallying votes casted.

Furthermore, as most of the universities in my country have now embarked on the online application system
for new college entrant, most students were finding it difficult to access the online application portal to
apply. With my expertise, I had to carry out an orientation for thousands of student in order for me to help
them access the online Universities portal and for them to fill their online applications.

The idea of sharing knowledge and sharing my culture with people from all around the world is really
attracted to me as I am a young potential African leader being raised in a very difficult society, I really want
to build peace and easiness from the world and the idea of going to Middlesex University is the best way
of doing that. Becoming a Middlesex graduate is the result of a lifelong dream; and I am prepared to dedicate
myself, as I have in the past, to achieving this goal.

The study will allow me to accomplish education in a comprehensive way which will stretch the horizons
of my knowledge and skills. Coming across a varied group of international students will change my
perceptions and allow me to do things newly and in a better way. Education at the international level will
give me the stature to meet the global requirements. I will promise to make an active concentration to my
studies and will make the most out of my study.

Relentless betterment has always been the motive of my life. The foremost requirement to attain this is
knowledge and profound guidance. After the completion of my study under the guidance of your privileged
university, I am confident enough that I will take the path of constant growth and in years to come fulfill
my long-time goal of setting up a Communication learning center for underprivileged students who are
personate about global education and thinks that all hopes are lost.
