Introducing the EtherHaul™ 8010FX

The EtherHaul™ 8010FX (EH-8010FX) point-to-point radio delivers up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet capacity utilizing the
70/80 GHz lightly-licensed E-Band spectrum, with a choice of channel bandwidth starting at 250MHz up to 2,000MHz.
This product can be used to provide high-capacity connectivity of telecom sites, residential MDU or commercial
buildings, back to aggregation sites, up to 10Km and beyond with ExtendMM™. AES encryption of the data is available
for those critical infrastructure applications demanding an additional layer of security.
The EH-8010FX combines enhanced adaptive bandwidth, coding & modulation for maximum services availability.
These features are delivered together with a choice of port types (10GbE fiber and 10GbE/1GbE copper) and advanced
tools for Operations and Maintenance (OAM) & Performance Monitoring (PM) to ease the deployment and operations.
The radio supports PtP, rings and drop-and-insert topologies, optimized for high-availability connectivity. All in a
very small and light outdoor package that is designed for zero footprint installations.

Date Release Content

April 2019 10.2.0 Key features supported with this release:
1. Class of Service (COS): the EH-8010FX can be configured to classify traffic into 8
queues, according to the priority levels indicated in the PCP bits of the VLAN
header, or per the DSCP codes in the IP packet header. This feature is supported
with HW revision B1 or higher.
2. Quality of Service (QOS), Strict Priority (SP): the EH-8010FX can be configured to
drop incoming traffic in excess of the radio link-capacity, in a Strict Priority mode
(SP) per the assigned COS of the incoming packets. This feature is supported with
HW revision B1 or higher.
3. Radio rate limiter: the EH-8010FX can be operated with user configurable reduced
link-capacity. The effective link-capacity will be the lower of the licensed radio
capacity and the configured rate limiter. This feature is supported with HW revision
B1 or higher.
4. AES encryption: AES128 encryption operates transparently at the link layer and at
wire-speed, supported on -A- models only.
5. Radio capacity options: the EH-8010FX can be deployed with a choice of link-
capacity licenses: 2Gbps, 5Gbps or 10Gbps (all capacities are full duplex). This
feature is supported for HW revision B1 or higher.
6. Channel bandwidth and channel plan options: the EH-8010FX can be configured for
operations with reduced channel bandwidth: 250MHz, 500MHz and 1250MHz. This is
in addition to the default channel bandwidth of 2000MHz.
7. Country code: the EH-8010FX can be configured to operate according to the common
world-wide E-Band channel plan, or per the channel plan of some specific countries
(Spain & the United Kingdom are currently supported).
8. Dual-level Transmit Power Control (DTPC): a feature designed to optimize link
availability in those installations where the transmit power is reduced to avoid
saturating the receiver. With DTPC engaged, the link will automatically switch to
full transmit power in case of rain-induced fading.

Limitations fixed with this release:

1. Ethernet port speed is reported correctly in SNMP.
2. Duplicated HTTP responses which prevented management over proxy server are
eliminated.
December 10.1.5 SW 10.1.5 supports a new HW revision to improve production yields, revision B1, with
2018 a streamlined transparent bridge feature set. General VLAN-related manipulations are
not supported, except for management traffic of the EH-8010FX (which can be
isolated in a CVLAN, applies to in-band or out-of-band management).

Upgrading revision B1 hardware to SW 10.1.5 is mandatory (upgrading revision A0

hardware to SW 10.1.5 is not required).
December 10.1.4 SW 10.1.4 supports a new HW revision to improve production yields, revision B1.
2018
Upgrading revision A0 hardware to SW 10.1.4 is not required.
November 10.1.3 Limitations fixed with this release:
2018 1. Radio resets with an error message “first time power up”, while power remains
available.

Upgrading to SW 10.1.3 is mandatory to maintain stability of the radios.

2018 1. Out-of-band management (OOB): user can assign ETH1 port as the port for OOB
management.
2. VLAN exclude: VLAN membership exclusion rule can be defined per port. This is
useful when a traffic port should not belong to a specific VLAN
