Friendship in Our Life

easy to understand if you have a friend who can always share your joys and
sorrows. It means that joys will be two times more enjoyable and problems — two
times less unpleasant.
During our lives, we meet lots of people but only a few become our friends. Making
friends isn’t usually a fast process. It often requires much time and different life
situations which show how people relate to each other, whether they help to solve
problems, support, and enjoy achievements together.
Russians say, ‘to eat a peck of salt’, which means ‘to spend a lot of time together
and know each other very well’. We often say it about friends.
As you can see, making friends is not a simple process, but most people need
friendship as an integral part of happiness. For what?
Personally, I think that the main reason why we need friends is support. We
understand that our individual possibilities are limited and sometimes we need help
from trustworthy people. They can either share our feelings or help cope with
problems.
But the most valuable here is giving support. People naturally feel happy when they
can help someone whether it is saving somebody’s life or helping with homework. If
you have friends, you have lots of possibilities to give them a part of your time,
strengths, feelings. Most people agree that giving something is more valuable than
receiving.
As for me, I have a small circle of good friends. They are always by my side and
make my life complete. We have much in common and always have something to
talk about.
As it is known, hard times will always reveal true friends. I am sure my friends will
never turn their back on me when I most need them. Moreover, my friends never
envy my success. I can always be myself with them as if they are my family.
As far as I am concerned, I am lucky to have a loyal friend. He is open, sociable,
and sympathetic. He is fond of cars and likes to arrange parties. I can’t say that I
share his hobbies, but we have known each other for more than ten years and have
a lot to talk about.
