Statement

We, foreign students from all over Ukraine, from different medical
universities, have gathered in the number of 100 people near the Ministry of Health
in order to draw your attention to the impossible conditions of taking examination
by the current passing score of 55.5% and to lower the passing score for exam
Krok 1 to 50% or to find a possibility to pass exam Krok 1 once again (or to offer
alternative options).

Taking into account:

- Covid-19 pandemic made normal exam preparation and normal studying

process impossible (many students and our family member had covid-19,
which made studying impossible)

- The date of Krok 1 exam was moved from 15.06.2020 to the dates
29.10.2020 and 30.10.2020 (the first attempt to pass Krok 1) and (the second
attempt) to 15.12.2020 and 16.12.2020. Students were forced to study in
online classes, pass exams and session on current subjects and to prepare for
Krok 1 simultaneously (having no idea for which date the exam Krok 1 is
planned, students were constantly strained from uncertainty and every day
online classes with homework and studying process). Furthermore, the final
date of Krok 1 exam was communicated to student only one day before it
took place.

- Examination Krok 1 had to take place right after finishing the third year,
which is 15.06.2020. Because of postponing to 29.10.2020, students were
forced to pay for the first half-year of the fourth year of studying of even for
the whole year, as well as for accommodation in their dormitories. Students
who did not pass the score 55.5% are now forced to lose the cost as they
were shifted to the third year again (this financial tension will make us
abandon studying in Ukraine, and we do not want this).

- Being constantly stressed out because of online medical studies (this is the
first time in history when we are trying to have online medical studies, it is
very hard. Having covid-19 (we and our parents, our families), being in
 constant uncertainty about when exactly Krok 1 will take place, we were
confounded and exhausted, having no possibility for a normal preparation
for Krok 1 exam.

We kindly ask for immediate reaction to our request for lowering the passing
score for Krok 1 exam to 50% or granting one more possibility to pass the exam
(or to find an alternative option). As the majority of us reached 50%-51%-53%, we
are asking to lower the passing score for Krok 1 exam to 50% (to grant an
additional possibility to pass the exam or to find an alternative option). Failing this,
we will be expelled from our educational institutions (now our universities only
give us time before 10.01.2021 for us to decide if we wish to go back to the third
year again or to be expelled).
