Process thinking is necessary in operations management because it gives you the ability
to foresee the overall functions in the production. It is about how your initiative works in the
process and deals with your performance. Since operations management is critical to the
company's success, it is imperative that you know the functions and integrate them to
contribute to the productivity of the company.

As a student, I can appertain process thinking to improve my studies by making decisions


that will be more likely for me to excel. I will think of my educational materials and books as
raw materials that need to be processed by my brain, and then the knowledge will be my
output to get good grades. I will just need a routine to make this effective.

2.They are service providers and those kinds of jobs require direct customer interactions and
what they do can influence the impression of the customer to the establishment. That's why
it is necessary for them to possess service management skills. Contrary to those are the
factory workers because they are only involved in the production of goods and don't require
customer interaction.

In terms of hiring and training, the qualifications and type of practice will be much different
because the nature of the jobs also differ. Service providers are hired and trained in order for
them to deal with customers properly, and the factory workers on the other hand are
practiced to work quickly and methodically.
