Dear Bishop Ramirez,

Greetings in the Humility of St. Therese!

Since the inception of the St. Therese Diocesan Shrine over 20 years ago, we have never stopped
aspiring for it to be a place where the devotees of the Little Flower can feel her presence even as
through the years, it is a witness to a multitude of religious activities – from relic pilgrimages to
siete palabras commemorations. Even if our aspirations may still endure, it is but prudent that we
need to focus on what can done at this moment given the impressive transformation of the
shrine just in the past few months.

In view of this, we are asking Your Excellency to nominate, designate, and commission a religious
order of sisters who will be responsible for the spiritual activities of the St. Therese Diocesan
Shrine. We commit to sustain the corporal needs of the sisters while any donation offered to the
shrine will be utilized for its maintenance and development. However, we submit to your spiritual
insight and heavenly wisdom to craft the necessary precepts that will govern the overall conduct
of the residence of the sisters in order to ensure their purposefulness and stability.
