Thanks for the A2A. How do I separate a room from the main
house?
Let me first define this: A multi-faith room is a space for persons of different faiths or none

at all, to be able to pray/meditate/contemplate.

Due to the nature of the programme, they will firstly need to be designed as far away from
commotion, pedestrian or vehicular movement and noise. If this isn't achievable, they will
at least need to be sealed acoustically to an appropriate level.

The room is best to be designed rectangular. If one of the walls can face the direction of
Mecca, it would help orient people of the Islamic faith, although this is not a pre-condition #1 Coding Course in India
in my opinion. The room is best designed in neutral colours without any patterns as this Free Online Kids Coding Trial Class. Age

You will need shelving for storage. Preferably book shelves which can take religious books.
Some faiths require mats and other articles which can be accommodated in these shelves
as well. OPEN

It would be useful to have a table and at least 1 chair in order for some faiths to
congregate. Some fold-able chairs would also be required. The reason for that is different
faiths have different requirements and most need open floor space for prayer or
meditation.

In addition to this space, adjoining to this, you will need at least 1 toilet (depending on the
size of the space) an ablution facility ('wudu' area) and a buffer space between these two
and the main faith room (like a lobby). The ablution facility involves a wall-fixed tap, a
small fixed stool to the front of this, and an open channel for the water to drain away.
Essentially this is a wet area, so you will need to design in a way for the water to be wiped
off feet before stepping onto the main space.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but I think you would like a room that supports
the spirituality of all people. If that is true, then this is really a "less is more" project.

You must remove anything that might offend other faiths, including any scriptures, icons, or
images. For some Eastern religions, the positions of doors and windows are critical, so
you'll have to do research on that.
I suppose you will be1 left with an empty, probably white, room. Some adherents prefer to

As there are a number of faiths that I would consider non-traditional - such as Druids,
Wiccans, Satanists and other "pagans" - I think the best you will be able to do is come up
with a space that will work for about 90% of religious people (which might be an overly
optimistic number), but it is an interesting idea to say the least.

Of course, actually placing zealous adherents of different faiths into a single room presents
other concerns . . .

In my workplace we have a QUIET room. The place is very neutral, no pictures or religious
symbols. People come here to relax, pray, or meditate. The problem with a multi-faith
room is that it would exclude people of no faith. If you want to be inclusive, make it a
neutral quiet room.
