LOWERING CRIMINAL LIABILITY AGE TO 12

The reaction of the church regarding of this bill is that children need guidance, love,

and understanding. Even adults may not know that they are committing wrongdoing

just like what Jesus Christ said referring to roman soldiers before he crucified “father

forgive them for they know not what they do.” Also, our government does not have

heart for children who need parental guidance and understanding. Children commit

mistakes for the reason of failure which is not their fault but their parents, elders, and

government, church, and society. For me government should not be afraid of children

because they are the hope of our nation to become a great leader in the future. We

should not let children suffer as criminals when they do not have the slightest right to

suffrage to vote for candidates who will protect their rights and well-being. It is

pointless to let them go in prison because of ignorance, children are unable to

appreciate the consequences of their unlawful act because of absence of knowledge

and understanding.
