 COVID Heroes
When the second wave of COVID-19 hit India, many of the women
in rural South Gujarat faced new hardships such as income loss,
deaths in the family, lack of awareness and knowledge of the virus,
and minimal access to vaccines.

 On the occasion of Women's Day
in March of this year, Raj Uphaar
teamed up with GIA India and
Gem & Jewellery National Relief
Foundation (GJNRF) to honour
the vital role played, in the
pandemic, by women personnel
of Mumbai and Surat police.

Raj Uphaar's new facility serves

as a storehouse for snacks to
Frontliners and government
officials. Additionally, every
morning, theplas, rotis, and
puris are sent to the 50-bed
Shrimad Rajchandra COVID
Health Centre and and the 150-
bed Shrimad Rajchandra
Hospital COVID Care Centre.
A Look Forward
New Unit Launch

space, is now a new
facility with a far greater
Manufacturing Facility
production capacity.
Launched in April, the
new facility will allow for
more opportunities in
product innovation. The
facility is complete with a
packaging area,
storeroom, offices, and
ample amounts of space
for growth. A ray of hope
in the current
environment, this new
facility is the promise of
stability and livelihood for
more and more women.
Tales of Raj Uphaar came into
Nirma’s life, as a glimmer of

Raj Uphaar Head

It has been an overwhelming

experience being at Raj Uphaar
this year. I personally have seen
Raj Uphaar grow not only in
numbers, but by the smiles of its
women, volunteers, and
customers. I have seen the
seeds that Pujya Gurudevshri
had sown many years ago,
blossom this year since the
launch. I am proud and excited
for the ways that Raj Uphaar is
spreading around the world, and
by His Grace, uplifting more and
more lives every day.
