CONDITIONALS

ZERO CONDITIONAL

-Zero Conditional is used for facts that are generally true and do not change.

-Structure:
If + Present Simple + coma (,) + Present Simple.
For example: If you leave ice in the sun, it melts.

FIRST CONDITIONAL

- To express a real or very probable situation in the future.

-Structure:

If + Present Simple + comma (,) + future simple (will, won’t)


For example: I we work hard, we will finish the project on time.

SECOND CONDITIONAL

- For improbable things.

-Structure
If + past simple + coma (,) + would +verb
For example: If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world.

THIRD CONDITIONAL

-Impossible things because they have happened in the past.

-Structure

If + Past Perfect + comma (,) + would + have + Past participle


For example: If I had studied more, I would have got through the
exam.
