Projections of Solids

Answer All Questions

1. A cone of base diameter 60 mm and height 75 mm is resting on the VP with a

generator. Draw the projections if the generator which is on VP makes 40 o with
HP. (Refer Fig. 7.16)

2. A pentagonal pyramid, base 30 mm side and axis 70 mm long, has a triangular

face on the ground and the vertical plane containing the axis and slant edge
makes an angle of 45o with the VP. Draw its projections. (Refer Fig.7.16)

3. A cone, base diameter 50 mm and axis 75 mm long, is freely suspended from

a point on the circumference of the base such that its axis is inclined 45o to VP.
Draw the projections. (Refer Fig. 7.15)

4. An octahedron of sides 50 mm is lying on the HP with a face such that one

side of the face which is on the HP is inclined 45o to VP. Draw the projections.
(Refer Fig. 7.16)

5. A hexagonal pyramid, side of base 30 mm and height 75 mm, is resting on the

HP with a triangular face. Draw the projections if the vertical plane containing
the axis is perpendicular to both the planes. (Refer Fig. 7.16)

6. A pentagonal prism (side of base 30 mm and height 75 mm) is resting with a

corner of its base on the ground, the axis inclined at 30o to the VP and 60o to
the HP. Draw the projections. (Refer Fig. 7.17)

7. A tetrahedron of sides 60 mm is resting on VP with an edge such that one face

containing the edge on VP is perpendicular to VP and inclined 30o to HP.
(Refer Fig. 7.16)
