About the Faculty

S.V. VIJAYARAGHAVAN
ACA, PGDM (IIM-B)

Prof. S. V. Vijayaraghavan, aged 62, has the experience of both industry and academics. In industry, his
25 years of experience spreads across various capacities like Audit Manager (CA Firm, Coimbatore),
Sr.Manager – Finance (TVS Group, Chennai), Vice President (21 st  Century Management Services Pvt.
Ltd., Chennai), General Manager – Finance & Accounts (ACCEL Limited), Chief Finance Officer
(Thinksoft Global Services Pvt. Ltd) and Executive Director – Finance (ISOFT R&D Pvt Ltd). He was
on the Board of Directors of iSOFT group which globally employed about 3,000 heads and 1,600
employees in India. 
 
From Academic point of view, he did his B.Com (PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore), ACS
(Inter) (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), ACA (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India)
and PGDM (MBA) from IIM, Bangalore. Besides, he is also the Certified Valuator (ICAI), Certified in
Treasury & Forex Management (ICAI) and ProAct Digital Teacher (LIBA). 
 
From Teaching and Corporate Training side, he has been teaching for the last 24 years starting from
Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of Indian (ICWAI) at their Southern India Regional Council
premises. He also teaches finance courses at LIBA and BIM, Trichy. He is one of the top rated and
much sought after faculty in finance in both b-schools.  
 
He is also the resource Person for Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for their Post CA
Qualification Certificate Courses (which are run exclusively for qualified Chartered Accountants). He
has delivered lectures for Certified Valuer Program and Registered Valuer Organisation (RVO) Program
for Chartered Accountants. 
 
Apart from teaching, He is also involved with Corporate Training Programs in areas like Excel skillsets,
Data Visualization and Financial Modeling. He is also a Financial Due Diligence resource person for
couple of Venture Capital Funds which are based out of Bangalore and Delhi.

Introduction of the new Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) with effect from the financial year 2016-17
has made understanding and analysis of the corporate financial statements somewhat challenging for
many users due to significant changes in accounting standards, terminology, formats, and inclusion of
more varied information in annual report compared to disclosure made earlier under Indian Generally
